I have a simple question for you- do you believe in fate and destiny or is life based of off entropy?
By definition, entropy is the measure of disorder in a system. I’ll keep it broad and talk about disorder simply in terms of chaos and randomness.
Personally, I believe in kismet. I believe in coincidence and happenstance and serendipity- not because i don’t understand the difference between luck and randomness or probability but because I do- and I choose to believe in magic.
I get that the universe was born and lives in an extremely chaotic state, and that everything that happens can be justified to fall under chaos theory. But where is the fun in that?
Sure- coincidences can be chalked up to randomness and luck to statistical probability but if both are telling me the same story, where is the harm in picking a script that makes me happy?
After all– if life is the narrative that we choose to live, why can’t I choose one that allows me to indulge in a little bit of magic?
My inspiration to synthesize this piece came from my late night mulling.
