Inhale. Exhale.
I’m finding it hard to breath.
Inhale. Exhale.
Is it just this moment? Or have I forgotten how to be?
Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
You see, I catch my breath all too often –
and as I inhale and exhale deliberately, I need to remind myself –
it’s our instinct to know how to breathe.
Mindful,
I begin to practice:
Inhale –
– expanding your lungs – allowing in air.
Exhale –
– collapsing your chest – allowing it to escape.
And now as my breaths even –
and I can feel the rhythm of my heartbeat.
Inhale.
Exhale.
I begin to believe,
that I need not worry.
I always have, and always will,
carry the ability with me.
